Nadine turns 9!

My princess turned 9 last week, and for the first time in her life, we did not have a birthday party for her.

She was a little disappointed initially when we told her that she will not have a birthday party this year, and that from now onwards, we'll only have birthday parties on alternate years. But she got over it quite quickly, and decided to bake cupcakes for her classmates.

So proud of how much my little girl has grown. I like it that she's someone who has a big heart, always caring for others, and willing to do things for people. Her love language is acts of kindness, and as her parents, we enjoy many instances when she'd make breakfast for us, give us massages, fetch things for us, etc. So thankful for this lovely gift from God!

A new school year

This year, both Nadine and Aaron are in primary school!

Nadine couldn't wait to get back to school because she missed her friends, teachers and school life. 

Aaron was a bit apprehensive because it's brand new start for him, in an unfamiliar environment.  Good thing was, his school allowed parents to be there on the 1st day, and even organised a packed program of talks and parent-child activities. I was really impressed!

All parents were asked to write a love letter to their sons, and the boys had to write a love letter to their parents. What a meaningful activity!

Thereafter, we had some bonding games

It was a fun 1st day of school for Aaron! Hope he'll continue to have fun in school!

Aaron's K2 report

I think overall, Aaron has done well in kindergarten. Very proud of his "results" and what his teachers wrote in his observation report. Can't wait to see how he'll perform in primary school!
