Tongue vs Butt

Nadine went for her 1st 5-in-1 vaccination yesterday. Along with it, Daddy also asked for the Rotavirus vaccination.

Dr (Uncle) Kevin gave the RotaRix first, as he thought that oral medication will be easier to administer than the injection for the 5-in-1 vaccination. Well, he was wrong. Nadine didn't like the taste of the RotaRix at all. Wailed for 2 min.

Then came the injection, on the butt. Uncle Kevin taught Mummy how to hold Nadine properly, so as to minimise her struggle. Then he poked Nadine, empty the medication, and for 2 sec, there was no reaction. We stared at her. Then she let out a cry of protest, for 1 sec. That was it! None of that struggling and loud wailing that everybody was expecting.

Daddy and Mummy concluded that Nadine has very high threshold for pain, but cannot tolerate "bad" food. In future, her punishment shall be "bad" food. But then again, all "bad" food taste good leh, and good food that taste "bad" are usually good for health leh. Hmm .....
