It's been a great 1 year journey for Daddy and Mummy, who both wouldn't have had it any other way. And it sure was a good decision to have Nadine. She's brought so much joy, fun and love to the family. It sure helps that Nadine's quite an easy baby to look after. Happy most of the time. And definitely a joy to play with, even though her endless energy can be a bit hard to cope with at times!
At this point in time, these are the things that Nadine's become very good at:
1) Walk very fast holding on to someone's hand;
2) Wave good-bye, especially to Bibi, when Mummy's bringing her out;
3) Recognise her toys and many items by name, so for eg, when Mummy asks Nadine for Blossom, her doll, she'll pick Blossom up and either give Blossom a gentle knock on her head or bite her hand;
4) Do the "kok-kok" (forehead to forehead) with people she likes;
5) Give "big hug" to people she likes;
6) Kiss Mummy on the mouth;
7) Eat soft rice with dishes ... tho it takes a much longer time to feed her that than porridge;
8) Feed herself with a fork - as in she's able to put the food into her mouth with the fork. She's still learning to poke the food with her fork;
9) Put her hands together to say grace before her meals;
10) Pretend to brush her teeth with her new baby toothbrush.
Yesterday, Daddy and Mummy held a huge birthday celebration for Nadine at Bottle Tree Park. It was a party that Daddy and Mummy promised Nadine, since she didn't get her 1st month celebration. Not sure how much Nadine understood about the birthday celebration. But Daddy and Mummy and the guests sure enjoyed themselves a lot!
Big THANK YOU to all the uncles, aunties, gor-gors and che-ches for coming to celebrate Nadine's birthday with her, and for all the lovely gifts and contribution to her education fund!
Daddy and Mummy bought Nadine a new dress, a new pair of shoes and a new hairband for her big day.
And this was Nadine's 3-tier birthday cake from Pine Garden - 2 layers of lychee martini and 1 layer of bailey chocolate crunch. It was wiped out in 15 min!
