On National Day, we went to the Singapore Science Centre, at Nadine's request. She wanted to see the Megabugs exhibition.
But 2 min after going into the Megabugs exhibition, both Nadine and Aaron wanted out because they were too scared. There were humongous bug models everywhere, and the place was dark. Really quite scary for young kids.
They enjoyed the other sections of the Science Centre though. Didn't take many photos, because we were so fascinated by the many exhibits, and were also busy explaining the exhibits to Nadine. She had endless questions. Not everything was easy for her to understand, but we were glad she was interested.
The kids' favourite section was the "Candy Unwrapped" exhibition, a very interesting and informative exhibition on the surprising biology, chemistry, physiology and psychology behind the world of candy. Daddy diligently read up on most of the exhibits, while the kids had fun playing on the slides, cushy giant tongue, and giant doll.
Overall, the kids are still too young to appreciate and understand the exhibits at the Science Centre. But it is an interesting enough place for them to explore and be exposed to the world of science, geography and technology. And there is an outdoor water playground! Will definitely go back again .... with extra set of clothes!
