19 May was LSK's Sports Day.
Sports Day has always been the first big thing that the students start preparing for in the first semester (second big thing in the second semester is their year-end concert).
At LSK's Sports Day, the kids do not compete in sports items, but are tasked to complete a circuit of activities that showcase the different motor skills they have learnt and perfected over the last few months. Principal Elsie Tan kept stressing that the exercises may look simple, but are actually difficult for the kids and it is a major achievement for each of them.
Aaron had been telling me about his circuit, and all the various activities that he had to perform. It was a joy watching him perform those exercises.
LSK also make it a point to invite its P1 alumni whose siblings are still in the kindy to go back to enjoy the Sports Day, and participate in a circuit. Nadine was so excited when she received her personal invitation in the mail, and to be able to return to the school and meet her teachers.
