The kids had no school on Monday, 23 May, because of Vesak Day. So we decided to go to Phuket.
The plan was to just chill at the hotel pool. So we booked a hotel with lots of slides at the pool - Sunwing Kamala.

The kids loved the place and the three pools, but it rained a lot, and we had very limited time in the pool. What a bummer! Nonetheless, the kids enjoyed whatever time they got at the pool, and it was hard to peel them away.
We ended up spending a lot of time at the mall. Phuket has certainly developed a lot over the last year. The big mall at Patong, Jungceylon, is huge and has a decent line-up of international shops. It even has an indoor kids playground - Molly Fantasy, which the kids loved.
It was a bit like Kidzania, with costumes for the kids to wear and assume various occupations. Besides that, they also have the usual bouncy slides, bouncy tracks, ball pool, etc. They even have a huge inflated wheel with a hollow middle that kids can lie in and roll around. Very impressive!
Of course, we went for massages too. Nadine was most keen to get the massages, and enjoyed 2 days of 1-hour foot massage. And it cost us only 200 Baht - slight more than $7 per session! Very worthy investment because she now can give us pretty good foot massages!
Aaron was apprehensive initially. So he sat out the first day's session, and waited rather impatiently for the 1 hour to end.
2nd day, he decided to try the massage, and he enjoyed it enormously too!
New-found family hobby! Except it'll be expensive to go for foot massage as a family in Singapore!
The trip was a bit too short, and the rain didn't help too. Must go back after the monsoon season!
