Chinese New Year 2017

A week before CNY, Aaron drew this "Chinese painting" in class. He was so proud of it that when he got home, he promptly stuck it on the wall himself!

Nadine's class was picked to perform a Chinese dance for the school's CNY celebrations. She was so excited, and during the week leading to the celebration day, she kept saying the Chinese song!

Here's the happy dancer, all ready to go and dance, at 7am!

This year, we remembered to take a family photo before heading out to Gong Gong's place. The children were not most cooperative, but we managed to take a few nice shots.

Another family portrait on Day 2 with Ma Ma, before heading out to church.

On Day 3, as per previous years, our 老朋友 from church came over, starting with mahjong in the morning. In the past, the kids would go swimming but this year, the weather was gloomy, so they didn't get to swim, and they were so disappointed.

The adults lohei-ing

The children, having their own fellowship

It's great to be able to celebrate CNY year after year with this bunch of friends. For the adults, our friendship is becoming more precious like vintage wine. And we certainly hope that will be the case for the kids too!
