I dragged the whole family to the SPD Ability Walk at the Chinese Garden on 27 August because I wanted the kids to see how privileged they are, and to start helping the less privileged from a young age.
Aaron enjoyed the walk more than Nadine. To be fair, Nadine had just come home from the Children's Encounter Camp the night before, and was still tired. Kudos to her for walking all the way, albeit grouchy. So she'd rather take photos of us, than to take photos with us.
Here's my Siemens colleagues
After the walk, the kids got to enjoy the carnival. It was a fun carnival with games that let people experience what it's like to be wheelchair-bound.
I think it's the first time that the kids saw so many wheelchair-bound people, and our first time at the Chinese Garden. We were totally tired out but happy.
