Palaeobatrachus

Last week, on the way to school ...
A: Mummy, last night, when I was sleeping, I heard some night creatures.
Me: Oh, what were they?
A: I dunno. I didn't see them. But I think it's a palaeobatrachus.
Me: A what?
A: Palaeobatrachus!
Me: Palaeo what?
N: Palaeobatrachus! Remember the frog from Dinosaur Train?
Me: (vaguely recall) Oh ya ......
N: You know a palaeobatrachus' skin is very shiny?
Me: It is?
A: Ya, and it doesn't sleep at night.

Learning something new from the kids. Who say tv is all bad? It really depends on what you watch. The kids are picking up some much good info from shows like Dinosaur Train and Hi Five! But we do make conscious effort to control their screen time. Much prefer them to play outdoors. Everything in moderation.
