Josh's 8th birthday

Josh's parents threw him a soccer party to celebrate his 8th birthday 3 Sundays ago.

Aunty Lydia is an amazing party planner. The venue, the program, the food and refreshment, the goodie bags, etc, were all so well thought of.

At 5, Nadine no longer sticks to us at parties. She loves sitting and eating with her friends. Can't wait for Aaron to do the same!

Highlight of the party was the soccer training cum game conducted by Josh's F-17 coach. He was really good with the kids.

Nadine initially didn't want to play. She didn't want to change out of her pretty skirt into the soccer jersey that Daddy bought for her 2 years ago (she's yet to wear it). She also gave the excuse that she didn't know how to play soccer. But watching her friends, especially Luanne, have so much fun, she decided to give it a go. And she did well for a first-timer! Though she didn't manage to get the ball, she kept up at running after the ball with all the boys. It was hilarious watching her and Luanne hi-five each other at 1 point - such positive spirit!

The coach was really nice. He tried to make sure that all the kids had their fair share of the game. He let Nadine do a free-kick!

We did the cake-cutting inside the football court. How special! Josh is extremely blessed to have such wonderful and generous parents! Happy birthday Josh!
