LSK's year-end concert has become a highlight for the family. This year, it's even more significant because Aaron is performing as well. His first concert!
Aaron has been singing his concert song at home, though we couldn't make out most of the words. And he refused to show us the actions for the song. We were a bit worried that he'd freak out on stage. But we were certainly pleasantly surprised that he was brave enough to stand on stage and perform!
Compared to the last 2 years, Nadine was totally mum about her performance this year. Apparently her teachers had told her and her classmates to keep the performance a secret! But she's a performer at heart, and enjoys being on stage. So we were just looking forward to watching her perform.
And she did not disappoint us!
Day before the concert, she was telling me all the different outfits that she and her friends are wearing. And she added, "after the concert, Mrs Goh will give me a present. Fathers and mothers can give presents too!"
Last 2 years, we'd given her fresh flowers after her performance. This year, I decided to give her "artificial flowers" that will last longer. She being the drama queen, exclaimed, "oh wow! They're beautiful, Mummy! Thanks!" I love giving her gifts!
Daddy got Aaron a Transformer toy. Aaron loved it so much that he slept with the toy that night, and woke up early to play with it the next morning.
