Day 3 at the ski resort, we all decided to go to the ski area together.
The 2 fathers noticed the day before that there were lots of people at the ski area who were not wearing snow boots, contrary to what our tour guide told us. The snow boots are very bulky and heavy. Can't imagine running after the kids in them. Nadine didn't even want to try them. And the fathers said the snow was super nice and soft at the ski area.
While waiting for Uncle Mel to sort out the skiing fees, it started to snow. Everybody else ran into the ski complex, whereas we quickly ran out to take photos!
The family in our (Daddy and Mummy's) hideous rented gear. A friend said Mummy looked like a leopard! But the gear sure kept us warm and dry.

While the fathers and 2 big boys went skiing again, the Mummies and tiny tots found a soft, snowy slope to play with the sled.
Ethan and Nadine went wild playing with the snow, and took turns on a sled; while I pulled Aaron up and down the slope on the other sled many many times. It was an extreme workout, and I was soon perspiring under the thick jacket.
After a while, Aaron became too cold, and just wanted to koala bear a very exhausted Mummy. We then found a spot by the side of the slope, sat down, and Aaron fell asleep within minutes.

Nadine and Ethan continued playing with the sled with the other exhausted Mummy, who cleverly, after bringing them up the slope the first time, made them drag their own sleds up each time they wanted to slide down again.
After snow-play and skiing, it was time to fulfil our promise - go to Kids World. The kids were so excited about it that they chose to forego lunch. So Daddy very kindly volunteered to stay back with them while the other adults went for lunch.
The kids could "drive cars" read in the library, play cooking, stay in the "hotel", watch movies, or try out different ethnic costumes.

Nadine tried a couple of different costumes
When we got back, Nadine happily showed me her pretty manicured nails, with polka dots! She's been wanting to paint her nails for the longest time. But I always told her that she's too young. So this was heaven for her! She told me that she didn't want to wash her hands coz she didn't want to wash off the colours. I told her not to worry, the colours will stay for a long time, and showed her my nails as proof. Little did I know, kids' nail polish do not last!!! She lost her pretty polka dot nails within 3 days!
One thing that fascinated Aaron the most at the ski resort - the rolls and rolls of toy vending machines. He'd always run towards them, and stared at the toys inside, the stickers on the machines, etc, totally mesmerised.
On this last night at the ski resort, we had our best dinner in the last 2 days, at the open air food court just next to the ski field. Well, it wasn't exactly open air. The seats were in a tent, which had a few heaters in the middle. Very "Korean". Quite an experience! Perhaps it was the cold and hunger + the quaint experience of being in a big tent, the food really tasted much better than what we'd had the last 2 nights!

We really enjoyed the whole snow experience, even though it was very cold. The 2 fathers were so addicted to skiing that they went night skiing, just for 1 last kick! Should have stayed a couple more days at the resort!
