Aaron has been speaking well since he was very young. Many people are amazed how he can string a full sentence together, and hold a proper conversation. He also seems to have grasped the rules of the English language - using past tense, plural verbs and proper sentence structure appropriately.
The other day, he surprised us by coming up with a new word, aptly applied.
Context - Driving past our church one night, Aaron was super excited and delighted to see how the church was so prettily lit up. But he also saw light coming from inside the church. Maybe from the corridor, not sure.
Aaron: I think someone forgot to turn off the lights
Me: These lights are meant to be on
Aaron: I mean the lights inside the church
Me: Inside? Really?
Aaron: Ya, I think the turn-off-lighter forgot
Me: Turn-off-lighter? Is that a person who turns off the lights?
Aaron: Yes, but in a home it's the people who live inside who will turn off the lights
A little wordsmith.
