Nadine turns 6

Nadine is 6 years old! Time passed so quickly. She was just a teeny weeny baby, and now she's a little lady!

Last year, when she first caught the Frozen bug, and announced that she'd want to wear her Elsa dress to school for her birthday celebration, I patronisingly said yes to her, thinking that the fad will be over by her birthday. But no, the Frozen bug is just getting stronger!

So she did wear one of her Frozen dresses to school.

As for her birthday party - yes, it's a Frozen theme.

The text - which is too much to write, according to Nadine. So I had to help her write it.
I'd asked her to draw 8 cards for the friends she wanted to invite, but after drawing 1, she said she was tired, and told me to take a photo of it and send (by phone) to her friends' mums! Amazing how at 6, she knows how to make use of technology already!

This year, she decided that she'd have a girls party. And when I suggested that they could make hair bands, paint their nails at the party and watch Frozen, she got really excited.

After making the hair bands, Nadine whipped out the Disney make-up box that she asked Daddy to buy for her as a birthday gift. And the girls went wild painting their faces and nails!

Applying make-up and painting nails seem to come so naturally to them, almost like basic instinct!

And they happily helped one another!

When the last of the princess arrived, the security guard asked her and her mum if they were going to the princess party, and promptly pointed out the way to our block! Think the security guard was really amused by the congregation of princesses!

I still can't believe how quickly 6 years have passed. It's been an extremely amazing, humbling and rewarding journey. And you've brought so much joy to us, Nadine. We love you!
