Gold Coast - Day 5: Surfers Paradise beach & shopping!

After 4 days of kids activities, we had a day of "something-for-everyone" on Day 5.

Uncle Mel started the day by going deep sea fishing, while the rest of us went off to the beach.

Slapping on lots of sunscreen before play starts

The beach was beautiful. The sand was so white, the water so clean, and there was no rubbish in sight. We all had a great time playing with the sand, building mini castles, burying our slippers, picking seashells and pebbles, playing with the sea water, and basking in the sun.

After the beach, we went back to our apartment to shower, change up, and then headed to Harbour Town for lunch and some outlet shopping.

We had a big Italian lunch before starting our shopping spree. Most of the brands are Australian,  and I was disappointed that the Cotton On Kids Outlet was more expensive than their regular outlets in Singapore, when there's a sale. But we managed to get some really good offers at Nike, Bikini Island, and Hugo Boss. Gong Gong KK and the Gans got some great deals at Levi's, Converse and Sunglasses Hut. Not the best outlet shopping experience, but good enough.

We then went back to Pacific Fair for dinner and to check out Target. Target has become a lot more expensive than we remember, so we didn't buy much from there.

Aaron said a most hilarious thing while we were looking for Daddy at Target. He was sitting in the shopping cart that I was pushing, and I had just picked out some underwear for him and Nadine.
Me: I wonder where your Daddy is.
Aaron: Daddy could be anywhere, or he could be buying underwear.
I burst out laughing. Aaron's first rhyme!
