Taiwan 2015 Day 2 - Flying Cow Ranch

We travelled to the Flying Cow Ranch in Miaoli County. It was a long ride, so when we got there, the kids were so happy to be released out of the car to run around.

It was a huge place with different areas for different activities. Aside from the usual ranch activities, it also has a variety of DIY activities for children, like ice cream and cookies making, cow painting, etc. But we took too long with lunch, and could only make it for cow painting.

While the older kids were painting, Aaron and Daddy hung out at the playground.

And then we went to feed the animals .... which didn't look the healthiest ... but still, it was fun for the kids to get up close to the animals and feed them - something they don't get to do in Singapore.

The kids also fooled around a bit

After Flying Cow, we made our way to our 民宿 in Nanzhuang. It was a long windy road up and down various mountains.

Although we had really nice sunny weather today, it was still winter. So the day was very short. By the time we got to our 民宿, it was already dark, despite being only 6pm.

橄欖樹 Olive Tree had lots of good reviews on Tripadvisor, and had rooms with 2 queen size beds - perfect for us and the Gans. We took the the 童格林 room, the Gans took the 古旅情 room, and Gong Gong KK took the 圓夢屋 room. All very pretty, but it was too dark to see anything. We were also too hungry.

Our dinner was a very homey meal, in the cozy dining room.

After dinner, we retired to our rooms, washed up, and then just hung out and watched tv while the kids played their iPads.
